Politics is a fools game. Especially in America because if We were truly united toward common human goals and desires, D.C. would lose all power. So, we remain divided. Argue all you want, but there is one party and it will do whatever it needs to do to regain and stay in power.

Exhausting.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.

Monday January 11th, 2021 Details

Staff meeting early. Fortunately I’m focused on getting some stuff out the door (side gigs) that keep me mentally engaged. Struggle to fight the negative thoughts that come in from dealing with lack of coordination across a distributed team (that I have no control over). It’s a recurring theme, so I’ll only occasionally mention it.

I completely acknowledge the fact that I’ve set most professional goals aside as a trade for stability and location while the kids are still in school. Staying healthy (mentally and physically) needs to bump up in my priority stack so I can keep my game strong for the future.

Watching movies about mountain climbing has been entertaining.
