After failing for three years
In 2020, I tried to write a book.
I thought I was ready.
It was a time when COVID hit, and we were on lockdown. I thought it was the perfect time to finally write my first book.
I failed.
As a career mentor, I get many inquiries about my career journey. These questions are mostly from professionals who want to land their dream roles and achieve their career goals.
Despite having so much time during the COVID wave, I couldn’t write beyond the first three pages of the book.
The more I tried to write, the more I struggled to put words on paper.
One day, I decided to call it quit and parked the idea for good.
Three years later, I would complete the same book within three months, followed by another book nine months later.
I asked myself why I couldn’t write a book in three years yet published two books in less than nine months.
