Echoes of Friendship: From Childhood to 3000 Kilometers Apart
A tale of evolving friendship that withstands the test of distance and time.
I have a friend… a real friend.
We’ve known each other since childhood.
We’ve been through a lot together.
We argued, sometimes for a long time.
There was a year we didn’t talk at all.
But we decided to change.
We realized that all that drama wasn’t worth it.
Years have passed, and we’re each busy with our own lives.
We don’t wish each other happy birthday.
It’s not important…
It’s not on purpose, we both know it.
But we’ve developed a tradition…
Once or twice a year, we meet up to talk.
Now, there are 3000 kilometers between us, but we still call each other.
Sometimes he calls first, sometimes it’s me.
It’s always a heartfelt conversation, like watching a movie.
What happened to him over the year, in detail…slowly…
What happened to me…
It’s been many, many years.
I’m not one for traditions.
But this one…
I want to keep it.
True friendship, through years and distance…
I wish you the same strong and healthy relationships!
Thank you for reading!
