How Bad Solopreneurs Reveal Themselves In The First 5 Seconds Of An Offer.
Avoid these behaviors. Do this instead.
In March, I was at a swanky VIP business dinner in Singapore.
But I’m not a special person. I was a tag-along. The event was a small group dinner with 12 seasoned entrepreneurs in their 40s–50s. I was the youngest in the room.
Everyone had a lot to share.
But one particular person shared what they did. Everything they talked about was their company's product.
- “Our software does this.”
- “We use complex models to do this.”
- “And our AI once beat a chess grandmaster after three espressos.”
Okay, the last one was made up.
But they went on and on for 20 minutes.
By the end, I asked my friend who brought me to the dinner:
“Do you understand what they do?”
He replied:
“No idea. And I’ve known them for years.”
But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were nervous.
So when I got the chance, I asked more questions.
