Your job is not your identity
Jobs are cool or whatever.
They give you a sense of stability, keep the bills paid, and make it possible to buy as many pints of ice cream as you want.
But they don’t define you.
Lots of people are out there searching for financial security. And for good reason.
You need money to exist in this world. It’s not something that falls from the sky.
Yet, it wasn’t until I realized these truths that I experienced freedom from the rat race.
Stuck in The Matrix
Anything becomes a prison if you let it.
For those who don’t know, I work full-time as a web designer. It’s very creative work, the people are great, and the culture is amazing.
But I would never in a million years put all my eggs in a 9-to-5 basket.
You were never meant to do that.
Each of us has “genius” inside. The problem is, we suppress it for safety.
Who says safety is all that matters in life? And who gets to define what “safety” means for you?
