The world has evolved.

Over the last 5 years, the one-person business model has become a real possibility. It’s not about building a behemoth of a business that you can IPO and big houses with.

Instead, it’s about freedom, autonomy, and craft. Today, you can start a one-person business in a weekend. With the right idea, work ethic and mindset, you can build an income stream for yourself without relying on other people.

Today, people think differently about building and working for themselves, and here’s how you can too.

1. Start from the ground up

I’m a big believer that massive dreams kill any hope of actually doing the work required to get where you want. When you’re head is in the sky, dreaming about the mansion or the brand new beamer and that hits the reality of ‘doing the work’ aka sitting at your desk, tapping away on a computer — things feel off.

This wasn’t how you pictured it…

It’s hard to get the motivation to do the work because it’s so at odds with your reality. The reality is, you are where you are, nothing has changed, and ahead of you is just a tonne of work.
