Little things, big changes

Over the last six years, my life has changed. In fact, I don’t even recognize the person I was six years ago. I was living near a big city, commuting to work in a job I didn’t like, I’d not yet discovered writing and I was spending my evenings huddled up on the sofa, trying to forget my tragic life.

I ate rubbish food, barely took care of myself, did nothing with my weekends, and spent all my time thinking I’d messed everything up.

Today, whilst life isn’t perfect (of course, who’s is) life is unrecognisable. I eat better, I write, I walk, I take care of myself much more than I ever have, and my life is full of nature and wholesome things.

The one thing that has surprised me the most though, is that it was never the big stuff that changed things for me, it was always the little things, here’s some stuff that worked and how I changed my life.

1. Ask how you want to live each day

Often we stop at the things that impress other people: the job title, the pay, the status, the direct reports. Those are all factors when it comes to picking a job and a life that works for you.
