I grew up painfully working class.

Money was always a topic of discussion. I didn’t live in poverty. But as a kid, I’ve seen both my parents work extremely hard to make ends meet. They taught my brothers and I the value of discipline and saving up.

At a young age, I realized money was the root of all our problems.

More money = better life.

But this isn’t always true. Here’s why.

Chaos is the foundation of opportunity.

Every speaker spoke about global uncertainty.

There was a widespread feeling that this was one of the most uncertain periods of human history they can remember. Wars, tariffs, and the changing nature of geopolitics were topics discussed.

But they weren’t afraid or sacred.

No one had a victim mentality. Or was pessimistic about the future.

Almost everyone I spoke to saw opportunity.

They had been around long enough to see how major shifts created new business models, ideas, and streams of revenue.
