Leaving on my one-way ticket to Asia

I still remember my hands shaking.

I walked into a 1-on-1 meeting with my CEO and business partner. I knew what I was about to say.

Over the last few months, I’d grown tired of the business.

I wanted to exit.

And after a conversation with my 90-year-old grandmother, I knew what I needed to do.

“I’m sorry. But I want to exit the business to travel.”

30 days later, I was boarding a plane.

I bought a one-way ticket to Asia with a loose deadline to return to Australia.

It was the most terrified and excited I’ve ever been.

I’m terrified of having regrets.

But regrets don’t paralyze me.
