Legend, Mr. Schwarzenegger (Credits: Flickr)

Mr. Europe. A bodybuilder. The terminator. A governor of California. We knew that!

Served in the Austrian Army. Was a real estate agent. Earned through his training videos/ courses. An environmentalist. Wow!, but wait.

Married for 25 years (also managed to have an affair). Father to 5 children & Dad-in-law to yummy, Chris Pratt.

How can one person “do-it-all” in this life?

Well he must have connections and his parent’s moolah? Nope.

So how with nothing, he rebuild his career multiple times. How? …..

…..Duh, Muscles, but also nerves, nerves of steel.

1. Your circumstances don’t define you.

Forget pumping iron, imagine pumping action into your dreams. Picture yourself transforming from an unstoppable force to a terrific leader, just like Arnold. He didn’t settle for ordinary; he chased what he craved with unwavering determination.

If you’re not willing to risk the usual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.”

2. Be relentless & always on a learn.

No gym walls could confine his ambition. He built makeshift workout havens, squeezed in sessions whenever possible, even sleeping at the gym to maximize training time. And while his muscles grew, so did his mind. He pumped up his English by listening to educational tapes during reps — proof that multitasking can be a muscle, too!

“Ask questions. Seek new ideas. Learn from the mistakes of others. Learn from your own mistakes.” — Arnold.

3. Look into your own journey for motivation.

Remember, your life is your ultimate motivator.

As Arnold said, “The worst thing that can happen is failure. It’s not that bad. Get up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.”

Imagine leaving everything behind, training tirelessly, then losing your championship dream… not once, but twice! Yet, Arnold rose again, claiming victory the third time. Talk about resilience!

4. Fake it till you make it.

When life throws eggs, make omelets! During a political campaign, someone hurled an egg at Arnold.

His witty response? “Where’s the bacon?”

This wasn’t just humour; it was a display of unshakeable confidence, a crucial trait for overcoming challenges.

As he wisely stated, “Don’t sweat the egg-throwers; focus on those who pick them up and support you.”

5. Ditch the ego, embrace growth.

Ask questions, fuel your curiosity, and learn from everyone — mentors, books, even your own mistakes.

Remember, “Being average is the worst.”

Seek inspiration from those who’ve conquered similar paths, like Arnold finding his bodybuilding guru, Vince Gironda, who he could have easily been jealous of !.

Treat others as resources, not rivals. Find your champion, the one who’ll lift you up and propel you forward.

6. Plan like a champion.

Contrary to popular belief, Arnold didn’t jump ship from bodybuilding to acting blindly. He used his bodybuilding income to build a financial safety net (real estate investments!), allowing him to take calculated risks in Hollywood.

“Money saved me from bad roles,” he famously said.

Similarly, before entering politics, he meticulously built his credibility. Remember, even with unwavering belief, a solid plan is essential.

So what are you going to do about it?

Just read through or maybe this time, you will take a pen & get started on your re-invention journey.

Building your own pile of achievements is better than looking at someone else’s peak.
