Before the Internet, information had to be found through vast amounts of digging — especially if you weren’t well connected.

Things have changed since its introduction…

All it takes to find something out these days is a quick Google search or a query to ChatGPT.

This explains why information consumption is on the rise…

Information is easily accessible.

People no longer need to struggle to find what they’re looking for, so they learn without intent to apply; they just do so because they can.

They’ve been tricked into thinking knowing more will automatically make them successful, but this is not true.

In statistics, there’s a known principle that states, “Correlation does not imply causation.

It means that just because two variables are statistically associated (correlated) does not necessarily mean one causes the other.

In other words…

Reading 50+ books a year won’t make you successful.

It will certainly help if your reading is directed, but other than that, you’re not…
