I’m 36 years old, and four years ago, I began a quest to discover my ikigai — the purpose of life.
The COVID-19 lockdown stopped the chaos of everyday life, forcing me to reflect deeply. That’s when it all started. I wondered how to live a life filled with meaning and purpose.
The First Step: A Professional Pivot
As a first step, I wanted to overhaul my career and quit the monotony of a 9-to-5 job. But circumstances held me back, so I turned to side hustles, searching for something that would ignite my passion.
The first thing I tried was iOS App Development.
I dove in, brimming with enthusiasm, only to quit within a month. “At 32,” I told myself, “this is too tough and impractical.”
Fast forward four years, and here I am — restarting iOS App Development at 36, for the sixth time.
Yes, I’ve tried and failed five times before.
But this time, I’m not quitting. Why? Because I’ve realized that all great things start small — very small.
