we were purSuing uS
in this alien environment
finding the vowel, to our S Sound,
to flow Seamlessly
into each other

how we would capitaliSe SometimeS,
an opportunity to get ahead,
paSt the period, we Shut everyone
and everything elSe out behind uS.

in that very purSuit, we find
conSonants
that make every interaction
diSSonant,
diSharmonious and diSingenuouS, ironically
themSelves having
conSonance past S.

we begin finding thoSe vowels
alaS, they ariSe at a mere 5 in 26
headed, headless beingS
headed to headless beingS

we Scheme and Slither,
in the graSS of the nether.
neither letS out a breather,

–pause–

and merely expectS to tether
each other, extending our
arm forth and leg back

but the shadeS of green
get darker and more intenSe
as we reach areaS
we’ve never been

we can no longer differentiate
between vowels and consonants,
between snakes and aliens
and break our-
selves,
bit
by
bit, twisting and translating
giving U n N away to the other,
forming a union with the remains

giving our heads to glory of sorts,
finding others who had done
just the same
we head for the next mask to peer through
like Foxy does at Freddy’s. we as
headed, headless beings
headed to headless beings,
throw away every last memory
trapped within the head,
past the period, we shut everyone
and everything else out behind us,
going out of our way
to attack the form till it deforms,
making every interaction
dissonant,
disharmonious and disingenuous,
as we pursued
the vowels to our
s sound,
to flow seamlessly into each other

but did we ever ponder
uncovering these masks
was only difficult for,
our eyes were perched on
one of our own
