Howdy, folks!

Today, I wanted to discuss how to write with brevity.

(I know this advice is coming from a loquacious writer)

But I write about topics that I’m personally learning atm.

I know I write in lengths or…

Sometimes in circles.

After experimenting and researching a lot, I’ve found few advice that works like charm.

And fundamentally this problem can be solved by a) having in-depth knowledge of the topic you’re going to write aka research b) improving your vocabulary

Anyway, here are 3 other proven strategies to write persuasively and with brevity:

1. Clear and interesting heading

A clear and interesting heading helps you structure your writing without circling back and forth.

A good headline guides you in the right direction and expands upon the idea presented.

You can’t afford to have a loosely written headline that clogs your idea. A crystal-clear and compelling headline is like a laser-guided missile — it hits the mark, obliterating distractions and capturing readers with precise impact.

2. Vocabulary

Having a wide range of vocabulary is your biggest asset. You’ll be able to describe a paragraph with a sentence or a word if you have a rich vocabulary.

For instance, for a second, let’s imagine I don’t know the word brevity.

Throughout the paragraph, I’d have written long sentences like how to say more with fewer words.

But I knew the word brevity which replaced the need to write long sentences.

You should try to expand your word knowledge.

Dunno if you should take part in spell-bees or read more to improve vocabulary.

But try learning new (and varied) words.

3. Structure

Structuring your writing properly could help you write concisely.

Use active voice instead of passive voice (wherever possible). Breaking down complex sentences into simpler ones. Removing unnecessary words and phrases.

In this manner, you can structure your writing clearly.

Hope that’s useful!

And you’d be using these tips to write concisely and clearly.

Cheers,

Have a great day!
