This Is How You Waste Your Morning
Write the damn thing down
At what appeared to be around 2 am, as my head finally hit the pillow after a long day, an idea popped up in my head.
I started transcribing an article in my head; I was excited about the idea. People can resonate, I thought to myself.
You have no idea. I’ve been busy with a few deadlines and haven’t written anything in a week. I felt the urge to publish something on Medium.
Stop writing in your head; write it down. You will forget in the morning. I thought to myself. My phone was next to me.
Pick. It. Up.
I didn’t. I can’t be bothered.
Just before I fell asleep, I made a mental note to remember the idea.
And here we are this morning
As you can probably guess it. I forgot about everything.
Not even a clue what it was about.
Like the melody that stuck in your head but what’s that song???
The face of someone you swear you’ve seen before but for god sake you just can’t recall their name.
As for me, it was this (potential) masterpiece that (almost) kept me up at night and the next day vanished into the air.
