I’ve always had the belief that being fast is the key to success.

I used to think that if I want to read more books, make more money, invest better, or learn new skills, then I just need to do it all as quickly as possible.

That’s exactly the approach I’ve taken over the last 5 years.

I finish reading a book in a week, learn new programming languages in 2 to 4 days, and watch movies in just 20 to 30 minutes.

And you know what?

It worked — I’ve seen some impressive results. But as I reflect back on my journey, I wonder if I’ve been missing something.

Sure, the numbers and achievements look great on paper.

The harsh reality is that this “need for speed” mentality has left me in a constant state of hurry, with a hectic schedule that feels more exhausting than fulfilling.

I may be checking a lot of boxes, but I can’t say I’ve truly been enjoying the process.

My usual process

You know, my parents used to tell me — “Study hard, and your life will be set.”

And I have to admit, I really took that advice growing up.
