You’re Struggling to Attract an Audience For Your Writing Because You’re Trying to do Too Much

There is such a thing as trying too hard and you’re probably doing it.
Building your writing career is a series of tiny steps. Things take time. And if you get ahead of yourself too much, you’re going to get stuck in this loop of:
- Biting off more than you can chew
- Getting frustrated with the process
- Decreased motivation to try again
If you haven’t produced much, it’s probably because you’re thinking too hard about what to do instead of just taking that one baby step.
Stop making the process harder than it has to be.
Avoid all of these misguided attempts at writing success that I’m about to share.
Stop Trying to Cover So Much Ground
You don’t need to write the entire history of your topic in one blog post.
You can’t.
Hell, there are 500-page books that don’t fully scratch the surface of one topic. Why would you try to do it in an essay?
