In surprising news, Andre Cronje is unwinding his involvement in many decentralized finance projects including Yearn and Fantom. He has apparently shut down his Twitter account too. This news was announced on his colleague Anton Nell’s Twitter feed.

There are real numbers behind these decisions. In late January, Fantom took over Binance Smart Chain (BSC) to become the third-largest chain, with over $12.2 billion in total value locked (TVL) across its DeFi ecosystem.
