Appendix 2 Editor Configuration
Web Development with Clojure, Third Edition — by Dmitri Sotnikov, Scot Brown (86 / 107)
👈 Summary | TOC | Why Is Editor Integration So Important? 👉
In this appendix, we’ll cover the most popular code editors for working with Clojure. We’ll also discuss why you should configure editor integration and structural editing, along with some tips for best using them.
While you may see recommendations for a specific editor, such as Emacs, there are a number of excellent Clojure environments available. If you’re already familiar with one of the editors listed here, we recommend sticking with it to avoid the distraction of switching editors while also learning Clojure. If you aren’t familiar with any of these, it’s possible that your favorite editor has some Clojure support. However, if you experience difficulty configuring your favorite editor, we recommend going with either VS Code or IntelliJ IDEA.
