Welcome to the Android Baseball League! Founded in 2018, the Android Baseball League (or ABL for short) is our focus for the next half-dozen chapters. We are tasked with building the official app for the league so everyone’s able to find out all about their favorite teams and players.

As you probably can guess, the ABL isn’t a real league, but it is the focus of Part II of this book. It’s time for us to build an advanced app with some more-complicated features.

We’ll start with what you learned in Penny Drop, then add on from there. As a result, the pace is going to pick up and I’m not going to be (re-)explaining everything that we covered in the previous app. I will reference chapters from Part I when we hit upon certain concepts again, plus you can always reference the source code located on PragProg.com if you get stuck.
