You’re getting really close to the finishing Val’s Revenge. In this chapter, you added some much-needed enhancements to the player’s overall gaming experience, especially with regard to the on-screen controls.

Specifically, you learned how to define scene actions using the Action Editor, make the actions run in an infinite loop, and test the actions. You also created a heads-up display to inform the player about the latest stats related to the game — in this case, keys and treasure. Finally, you built controls that allow the player to move and fire with a full 360° of rotation and set yourself up to support external controllers in the future.

In the next chapter, you’ll add the final touches to Val’s Revenge, including more scenes and a way to save and load the game.
