6 Sanskrit mantras to evoke self-love and confidence.

Mantras have been used for thousands of years to attract health, money, well being, optimism. Mantras create meta-vibrations that cause the manifestation of the cosmos, enhance our understanding of self and help create a balance in life. There is no specific ritual to chanting mantras. See them as affirmations. Though ideally, they bring the best results if chanted before sunrise. Some people prefer to use mala beads (similar to a rosary) to do so. I will make a separate post on the use of beads for spiritual practices. Here are 6 Sanskrit mantras for self-love.

Ānanda Hum — आनन्दः हूँ (I am bliss)

Ananda means the state of bliss or extreme happiness, one of the highest states of being. I am bliss and contentment. I am happy with what I have and who I am.

Samprati Hum — सम्प्रति हूँ (I am present | I am now)

I am here; I am now. I appreciate the present moment and all it brings me. The present moment is my true self. My breaths are constant and deep. By being here, and being grateful now, I realize that I feel truly alive in the present moment. I appreciate the joy of simply being here.

Kṛtajña Hum — कृतज्ञ हूँ (I am grateful | I am thankful)

I am thankful to the universe for all it brings me. I am far from judgment. I may not be able to see the results right away. I am thankful for all my blessings.

Sampoorna Hum — संपूर्ण हूँ (I am complete)

I am a manifestation of the divine. I am whole in my being. I do not seek external elements, materialistic possessions or other people to complete me. I am complete as I am and happy with what I have.

Shanti Hum — शांति हूँ (I am peace)

I radiate peace and calmness. I bring peace to all those around me. I am in control of emotions and feelings. I emit love and love is what comes to me in every possible form.

Ahaṁ Brahmāsmi — अहम् ब्रह्मास्मि (I am absolute)

I am the source, where everything comes from. I am the source where everything returns to. I am the higher spirit that holds the planets together. I am a part of this universe. Universe speaks through me. I am not different from my creator. I am absolute.
