Pravox Update: Better VARIETY, New Logo, and much more!
Today we are launching a whole new Pravox VARIETY (powered by musiqpad), a new logo, and more! Read on for more details!
Logo Redesign
First off, let me introduce you to Mr. Pravox! He’s the new mascot for Pravox Networks and symbolizes how it’s powered by you, the viewers! He replaces the 3 people surrounded by an antenna.
The center of his head is a dot representing you watching with your eyes. The curved lines are similar to the Wi-Fi Icon to show how you are sharing what to watch out to others. Lastly, it’s a person which obviously represents you! The color of Mr. Pravox’s body changes based on the station.
Alongside Mr. Pravox is a new font for the words!
New Pravox VARIETY
The new Pravox VARIETY is based on musiqpad and has some major differences.
- Based on Playlists and a DJ-style queue. This means you have to set up a playlist to submit (click Mr. Pravox in the top left corner and go to the “Your Library” icon to create/import them using YouTube) and it will alternate the next video between people in the queue. This also means that you won’t have to wait long if the playlist has lots of videos in it!
- Better chat with Twitch emotes and Private Messages
- Desktop and Chat Notifications
- Better mobile support
Now there’s two slight downsides due to this but they are minor inconveniences for an overall better service!
- CyTu.be accounts no longer work so you need to create a new one.
- As it’s hosted on Heroku’s Free Tier, it might take a few seconds to load if the server is offline and if I run out of the free quota, it will be completely offline for the rest of that month. (To prevent this, I have to pay and I’m broke so please donate on my personal site if you love Pravox Networks!)

As you might have noticed, we recently moved pravox.net to a Medium publication! We are working on some more stuff for here soon! Also, we now have a YouTube that contains all our Promos (now slightly outdated with the old logo).
