“For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion I will gather you. For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” says the Lord who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:7, 10 (NKJV)

In the midst of any given situation or affliction, we may feel as if the moment will never end. But the Bible puts our circumstances into perspective. Paul tells us our light affliction is but for a moment (2 Corinthians 4:17). Have you ever felt the sting of someone lying to you or about you? Proverbs 12:19 says a lying tongue is but for a moment. Even in the times we may feel chastised by the Lord, He tells us that His anger is but for a moment. Ask the Lord to give you perspective and perseverance for the ‘moment’ you are in, knowing that these moments are leading to a far more glorious end than we can imagine (2 Corinthians 4:17).
