I love the projects I have been part of since I started my journey into environmental health in 2012. A Spanish island completely self-sufficient for basic needs. Local energy. Organic food. Resilience by having more than one solution for a challenge.
The Heroes of El Hierro did it. And I wrote about it in many publications.
It’s spreading, my friends. It’s spreading!
Many projects followed. In my home country the Netherlands, this funny small spot underneath the sea-level full of technology and solutions, we rewilded the river banks and gave space to the rivers. Flood solutions.
We made sure the soil held the water longer. And I hope soon we close down some heavily polluting factories. The future is healthy. Not toxic. In Italy, they already closed down many heavily polluting factories, because they know they can earn more with pristine spots for tourism. That’s good news. Especially the off-season tourism that doesn’t put extra pressure on nature and still feed bucketloads of money into the local economy.
We all want that, don’t we…????
So, let’s go clean and pristine…
