The Artemis mission, our next attempt to return to the Moon after over 50 years since the last human landing.

It is official, we are returning to the Moon, and this time with a bigger goal in mind specially for martian conquer

The Artemis mission is a new lunar program made by NASA and launch by the new Space launch system(SLS) from NASA.

In this article, I will explain you all the details relate to this mission and his challenges.

Artemis is more than just a lunar mission, let talk about the most important aspect of this mission.

NASA’s Gateway Space Station in lunar orbit.

NASA plans to build a new space station in the Moon orbit. As I mention before, Artemis will help not just on lunar conquer but Mars also.

The primary goal of this station is to help on future martian travels. Providing fuels for the vehicles and making more the travel more efficient and safe.

Also, this space station will increase the scientific activity on the Moon. Helping in the future on building a lunar base.

Next-generation space suits.

The Artemis mission will increase the number of Moon surface exploration. Increasing the need, of the new and better space suits. That’s why Artemis brings with it the new next-generation space suits. Suit features include, shoulder and leg mobility and adaptable to different body size.

Artemis enrolls around 3 major missions, let talk about each of those missions.

Artemis I.

Artemis I is the first mission aboard the SLS that will propel the Orion capsule. During this mission, the capsule will complete an orbit around the Moon and return home. The goal is collecting data while orbiting, such as the effects of space radiation on human skin and more.

This mission launch on November 16 of 2022 and finish with a splashdown on December 11.

Making the first part of the Artemis mission a success.

Artemis II.

Artemis II is a crewed mission, but not for landing on the moon.

In this mission, 4 astronauts will be on board the Orion capsule.

This astronaut will complete a full orbit around the Moon and collect more data.

The data is from different subject of study such as Moon’s surface and the deep space travel in human body.

Artemis III.

Artemis III is also a crewed mission, and this time with the goal of landing on the Moon. 4 astronaut onboard, including the first woman to land on the Moon!

Conclusion

This is the Artemis mission, more than a lunar program.

Bringing on new space suits, new space station and the hope for a first Lunar base made by humans.

Don’t forget to comment below any topic that you want me to talk more deep. Like the new space suits, more mission and the upcoming space station (yeah, they are more)
