His fantasy of transporting people and cargo in vacuum tubes at airplane speeds, which he has been advancing since about 2013, has “collapsed”. The Hyperloop One project was terminated and experts were fired.

Elon Musk, Tesla’s eccentric billionaire chief executive, has long promoted the futuristic transportation concept known as Hyperloop One, but it has now been officially discontinued.

The organization has laid off workers, hopes to sell its test track and remaining equipment, and is closing its jobs, according to Bloomberg.

Following the recruitment of more than 200 people in 2022, the remaining reps have been told they will lose their jobs on December 31.

The rights to Hyperloop One’s logos, slogans, and branding will be sold to DP World, a Dubai-based logistics powerhouse.

Hyperloop One “pipeline” closed. Elon Musk’s thoughts on Hyperloop One put in writing in 2013

The Hyperloop One “pipeline” project has “slowed down” after 10 years. In 2013, Elon Musk appreciated that a case could take riders from Los Angeles to San Francisco in just 35 minutes via an arrangement of empty cylinders.
