Every year 14 million tons of plastics end up in the oceans. Microplastics now circulate in the atmosphere, in the air we breathe, in the food we eat, and have been found in the human body.

Nevertheless, you sit down to a beef and soya lunch, while approximately, 5 sq. km of the Amazon rainforest is stripped for beaf and soya production.

I looked for words that more accurately reveal the underlying causes of the climate and environmental crisis —

cognitive dissonance, derealisation were the only words that made any sense.
