It’s 2050.

Canada has strategically created new sustainable cities in response to climate change, shifting socio-economic and political realities, and emerging technologies.

Enjoy the tour!

Eden Isle

The coastal location of Newfoundland and Labrador provides Eden Isle with access to rich marine resources. The city’s focus on sustainable fishing practices, innovative aquaculture techniques, and research on ocean conservation enables it to flourish as a centre for marine industries.

Glacier Bay

The presence of melting ice and rising sea levels in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago necessitates the creation of Glacier Bay. The city’s strategic location makes the port more lucrative than the Panama Canal. It also attracts scientists, environmentalists, and policymakers, making it a hub for studying climate change.

Boreal City

Located north of Toronto, this city benefits from its proximity to vast expanses of pristine wilderness. It offers abundant biodiversity and natural resources that inspire groundbreaking biotech research and innovation.

Terre Verde

The fertile agricultural heartland of Saskatchewan serves an example in next-gen sustainable farming and food production. The region’s vast farmland, expertise in agricultural practices, and commitment to regenerative farming allow the city to thrive as a leader in sustainable agriculture.

Resilience Ridge

Situated in the Rocky Mountains, Resilience Ridge faces challenges such as wildfires and heavy snowfall. The city’s rugged location provides opportunities to develop and implement advanced fire prevention and snow management techniques, allowing it to thrive amidst these climate-related adversities.

Evergreen Harbour

Its location on the west coast of British Columbia provides access to ample renewable energy sources such as hydroelectric power, wind energy, and geothermal resources. The region’s commitment to environmental stewardship and public support for sustainable initiatives drives the city’s success.
