The breakout of the rapid pandemic of Covid-19 provoked a great amount of commercial buildings, and small business to close. One of these including academic buildings like children schools.

During the highest mark of Covid-19, children were often requird to stay home, next to isolating from school peers. Many schools that were still in person were more than likely less days a weeks, changed from the standard of the usual 5 school week days.

Peggy Carr, commissioner of the National Center for Education Statistics, a branch of the Education Department, stated in her interview. “In NAEP, when we experience a 1- or 2-point decline, we’re talking about it as a significant impact on a student’s achievement. In math, we experienced an 8-point decline — historic for this assessment.” This massive drop can really make you wonder the impact on students academic learning. We can only wonder, of what this change will this lead for the future of the United States.

Not only exclusively the academic abilities of these children but furthermore the psychological damage the pandemic has left on children. In a study conducted by the National Library of Medicine (“NIH”) concluded the following. “Survey studies regarding child and adolescent mental health amid Covid-19 indicated that anxiety, depression, loneliness, stress, and tension are the most observed symptoms.” With not only the tensions from the pandemic, forby have seen death of, friends, family, further even children.

This mark has been left on them for many more years to come, only time can set forth how this will effect our post Covid-19 future.
