Planet X or Planet 9:

The very mysterious ‘Planet X’ is back again in the scientific realm with a bang! Till date researchers have found evidence (only from simulation) of a massive planet beyond the orbit of Pluto. Around 2015, researchers from Caltech suggested that the dwarf planets and other small, icy objects tend to follow orbits, that cluster together. They suggested a dynamical origin of such clustering and, proposed that this could be caused by a previously undiscovered planet which probably is hiding far beyond Pluto [1]. The results from their simulation hinted for a planet with mass greater than 10 times that of the Earth, with its orbit lying in the same plane with the Kuiper Belt Objects.

Primordial Black Hole (PBH):

However a recent paper that appeared in arXiv [2] (two days back) proposed a whole new, ‘little outrageous’ idea of what this hypothetical Planet 9 could be. Researchers from Durham University and California University highlighted that Planet 9, may not be a planet at all, rather than it could well be a special type of black hole, a primordial black hole. Primordial Black Holes (PBH) are believed to form due to the fluctuations in density at the early universe. PBHs are…
