He is considered as the most influential single organism to cause an impact on Earth’s environment. His inventions TEL and CFCs have killed thousands of people and left a lasting effect on Earth.
An engineer stood in front of a group of journalists. His last invention proved to be fatal for humanity. This time he wanted to make up for it. He inhaled from a tube his new invention Chlorofluorocarbons or commonly called as CFCs. He held his breath for a few seconds and let the air out. He proved CFCs wouldn’t affect humans. Little did he know that it will affect entire humanity for years to come. The engineer was Thomas Midgley Jr.
