Apple always shows off its most important new products at its keynotes. Every year, there are several so-called Apple Events, when the Cupertino giant presents the most important news — whether from the world of hardware or software.

When will we see them this year, and what can we expect? That’s precisely what we’ll look at together in this article. Apple holds 3 to 4 conferences every year.

March

The first Apple Event of the year usually takes place in March. In 2022, Apple boasted several exciting news in March, when it specifically unveiled the iPhone SE 3, the Mac Studio, and the Studio Display monitor, to name a few. According to various leaks and speculations, this year’s March keynote will revolve mainly around Apple computers.

Apple is expected to reveal its long-awaited models to the world finally. It should be 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro with M2 Pro / Max chips and Mac mini with M2. Undoubtedly, the biggest curiosity comes in connection with the Mac Pro, which represents the top of the range, but has not yet seen its transition to Apple’s Silicon chipsets.

If the speculation is correct, then the wait will finally be over. According to other reports, in addition to the computers, we will also see a brand new display, which will once again expand the range of Apple monitors. Alongside the Studio Display and Pro Display XDR, there will be a new 27″ monitor that should rely on mini-LED technology combined with ProMotion, a higher refresh rate.

This model will fill the current gap between the existing monitors in terms of positioning. We must also mention the expected arrival of the second-generation HomePod.

June: WWDC 2023

The second conference of the year is usually WWDC. This is a developer conference where Apple focuses primarily on software and its improvements.

In addition to systems like iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watch10 or macOS 14, we should also see some brand new features. Some experts believe that a complete newcomer called xxxOS will be introduced alongside the systems above.

It should be an operating system designed for Apple's expected AR/VR headset. This is also linked to the introduction of the headset itself. Apple has been working on it for years, and according to various reports and leaks, it’s only a matter of time before it’s unveiled.

Then some sources even mention the arrival of the MacBook Air, which hasn’t been here yet. The new model is expected to offer a much larger screen with a diagonal of 15.5″, which will help Apple fill out its range of Apple laptops. So Apple fans will finally have a basic device, but one that boasts a larger display.

September: the most important keynote of the year

The most important and, in a way, most traditional keynote comes (usually) in September every year. This is the occasion when Apple introduces the next generation of Apple iPhones.

This year, of course, should be no exception, and we are waiting for the arrival of the iPhone 15 (Pro), which, according to various leaks and speculations, should bring many changes.

Not only in Apple’s backstage but the most frequently talked about is the transition from the Lightning connector to USB-C. In addition, we may be in for the arrival of a more powerful chipset, a naming change and, in the case of the Pro models, quite possibly a giant leap forward in camera capabilities.

There’s talk of the arrival of a periscopic lens. New generations of Apple Watches are also being unveiled alongside the new iPhones. The Apple Watch Series 9 will thus most likely debut on this occasion or in September 2023.

Whether we will see more September news is in the stars. The potential for an upgrade is still there for the Apple Watch Ultra and, consequently, the Apple Watch SE.

October/November: Keynote with a big question mark

We may be treated to one final keynote later this year, which could occur either in October or November. More news that the giant is currently working on could be revealed on this occasion.

However, there is a huge question mark hanging over this whole event. It needs to be clarified whether we will see this event or what new products Apple will introduce on this occasion.

In any case, the Apple people are pinning their hopes on several products that could make a bid. By all accounts, it could be the 2nd generation AirPods Max, the new 24″ iMac with M2 / M3 chip, the long-revived iMac Pro or the 7th generation iPad mini.

Also in play are devices like the iPhone SE 4, the new iPad Pro, the flexible iPhone or iPad, or even the long-rumoured Apple Car. But whether we will see these new products is still being determined for now, and we have no choice but to wait.
