Prem’s First Month Update
Day One
Thank you all for your support and love of Prem during this initial launch phase.
Our mission at Prem is to accelerate the Advent of Privacy-centric Open-Source AI models.
To achieve this goal, Prem’s team has been working thousands of hours to release the Alpha version of the Prem App — a unified environment to develop AI applications and deploy AI models on your infrastructure.
Following the launch, our platform has witnessed a surge of excitement and developmental activities. The feedback and enthusiasm from the Open Source community have been remarkable and beyond any expectations.
Launching Prem
- On June 13th, 2023 we publicly announced Prem to the world.
- On June 15th, we launched our open-source Prem Desktop App. We partnered with MLOps Community and participated at the LLM in Production conference, where over 1k devs and industry leaders saw our CTO Filippo’s talk.
- We were featured in the LLM in Production report showcasing the latest and greatest in LLMs which you can find here.
Product Development, Integrations and Developer Portal
- Following the launch, The Prem team has been working closely with some of the most popular projects in the open-source space, announcing key integration partnerships to elevate open-source AI development. Here are the integration announcements: Llama Index & Prem, LangChain & Prem.
- We have released over 20 open-source AI services, including Redis, MosaicML, Vicuna, Dolly, Stable Diffusion, Salesforce XGen, LLama 2, Weaviate, and more, to power the AI developer experience. Here is a complete list of services.
- Prem Developer Portal: We have successfully launched our Developer’s Portal, a knowledge hub for developers to learn how to build your Private AI Applications on top of Prem. It offers comprehensive support and information for seamless integration with Prem, fostering a collaborative ecosystem for developers worldwide to build the next generation of privacy-preserving AI Applications.
- Prem Registry: we have launched the online Prem Registry to decentralize the model integrations process so that developers can integrate their favorite AI models on Prem.

Hackathon and Development Activities
To get developers hands-on experience using Prem, we have launched and sponsored two competitions to find the best apps built on Prem.
- The Prem Challenge incentivized the best teams worldwide to build the next generation of privacy-preserving applications on Prem. With up to $ 10,000 in prices and 100+ applications, we announced the winners on Monday, 24th of July. Here is the link to a post with all the winners.
- Prem is sponsoring #Ai4ALL: revolutionise how we use Bitcoin to democratise AI access.
Closing our first enterprise customers
We are delighted to share the successful closure of our first two enterprise customers, who will utilize Prem to deploy Private AI models on their infrastructure starting in September. More information on this to come in the upcoming days.
