Introducing to you the new release by The Conductor & The Cowboy, also is an introduction to old and new talent combining forces, in a spectacular release called ‘Set Me Free’, which has been released this Monday (August the 10th).

The Old Guard
Despite that the line-up is changed a bit over the years, The Conductor & The Cowboy are a household name in the trance scene who don’t need much introduction. Especially not, since their comeback track ‘Sail Away’, released in June, put the name back in people’s minds firmly. ‘Sail Away’ received support from a wide range of DJ’s, including big names like Solarstone, Matt Bukovski, Steve Allen, Arctic Moon, ReOrder, Suzanne Chesterton (Siskin), Rene Alblaze, Suzy Solar and Paul Van Dyk. With a little help of the incredible remix from one of the hottest trance duos at the moment, Metta & Glyde, ‘Sail Away’ became an instant success, and reached every possible chart on Beatport as a trance release, as well.

It was the debut of singer Aero and new ‘cowboy’ Rob Howlett, joining the line-up from Adam Pracy, the original ‘conductor’. But both Rob and Aero already have a wealth of music experience under their belt, and aren’t new to music, just to the dance scene. On ‘Set Me Free’ they team up with Adam again, shaping up the ‘trance band’ that The Conductor & The Cowboy want to be. Making not just club ready tracks, but also provide the cross-over sound that is appealing to the mainstream listener.

The Fresh Faces
With Metta & Glyde on the last release as remixers, the bar is raised pretty high on ‘Set Me Free’ when it comes to providing similar energy. Still, the label decided to hand the honours of remixing this track to more upcoming talent, providing them with a nice opportunity to establish their name a bit more, while also having the certainty that these remixers would be eager and deliver quality. You have to check for yourself, but we think the energy levels on the ‘Set Me Free’ release are perfect!

First up is Binary Emsemble. An alias of the two talented producers Deeptayan Banerjee and Sandeep Sen, from one of the upcoming trance nations, India. Despite several releases on labels such as Beyond The Stars, Trancespired Recordings and Redux, it’s actually their first take on a vocal track. Their remix uses the vocal quite creatively and after the break they introduce their own take on the melody and a full-on energy boost.

The other remix comes from Nth Factor, an alias of Sam Morgan, who is a talented newcomer from Wales. Sam’s productions so far have uplifting characteristics, often bordering to Techtrance. He already did a quality translation of progressive trance track ‘Tetra’ by AREO for our label, but with his remix on ‘Set Me Free’ he aims for new heights. It could easily be one of his most melodic productions so far, but with his complete reinterpretation of the main melody he delivers a wonderful rework of the track and it’s anything you can expect from a remix.

An honourable mention goes out to Alexander Smykov, a very talented Russian producer, who engineered a base upon which The Conductor & The Cowboy built their original.
