Some of the biggest exhibits are outside the main building, including a locomotive engine, industrial crane and 19th-century tug boat. It’s a fascinating and unconventional way to learn more about what shaped Bristol.

This lovely traditional British pub is the ideal places to enjoy a Full English, a light lunch or a hearty evening meal washed down by a decent pint and some great company. The pub itself has been going since 1847 so it’s a true step back in time.

Their pasta is handmade daily using traditional techniques and their menu is a great mix of good value modern and classic Italian dishes. For a break on a hot day (or any time of year!) get yourself some of Bristol’s most excellent handcrafted Gelato from Swoon gelato shop. The artisan gelato is churned on-site and in addition to the regular 10 favourite flavours, there are six seasonal flavours that change monthly.
