Japanese scientists have found a new way to use artificial DNA to kill cancer cells naturally.

The research project, based at the University of Tokyo, and led by Assistant Professor Kunihiko Morihiro and Professor Akimitsu Okamoto, were determined to create a new anti-cancer drug using artificial DNA.

Reportedly, Professor Okamoto stated:

“We thought that if we can create new drugs that work by a different mechanism of action (from that of conventional drugs) — they may be effective against cancers that have been untreatable up to now.”

In layman’s terms, when presented with any lethal illness, whether it is cancer (or some other equally terrible calamity), our immune system needs ample time to act and identify these items before they enter our bodies.

However, with cancer, it is quite fast-paced and aggressive when entering our systems, leaving little to no room for the immune system to even act. On top of that, they often disguise themselves to look like regular healthy cells.

Due to this, cancer treatments are quite challenging, because there's a risk that you might do more harm than good —…
