Normalizing Intrusive Thoughts

A therapist explains what they are in layman’s terms.

I’m a therapist and I try to help people across the lifespan. A big part of helping others is getting people to sometimes accept and normalize intrusive thoughts.

For example, there are times when we are walking down the street and a very distressing thought hits us.
