Understanding Diversity & Culture in Humanity

Culture is the biggest testament to the diversity of humanity, and one of the truest forms of cultural diversity amongst humans includes the organization behind our minds.

Our brains are the epicentre of all decisions we make. Since the decisions we make can create domino effects, the way we land onto our decisions can impact how others perceive our competence in our ability to make other decisions as well.

The idea that there is one type of “normal” or “healthy” brain is assumptive.

We have different notions on what is socially, morally and/or logically normal. For example, there could be variability in non-verbal communication between different cultural groups. Non-verbal cues can include hand-shaking, nodding, body swaying, etc.

For example, the “OK” symbol in North America might mean “money” in another culture or a bad word/or a symbol of another. However, some forms of non-verbal communication are similar as well, such as smiles.
