Sanders Supporters Could Threaten Democratic Winning in General Election
Saturday night brought triumph moments for Bernie Sanders who defeated his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington caucuses. Sanders’ winning margin is surprisingly high in these three white dominating states that prevailed Sanders’ optimism to win the nomination.
Vermont senator has become more confidant and enthusiastic for his presidential nomination after this tremendous victory, but the fact is he is not close enough to reach that winning position. Clinton still holds a strong position and keeping a majority of delegates by her side. Sanders’ campaign including on social media websites, Facebook, Twitter, and many others have been creating a negative image of Clinton and interestingly, Sanders supporters, not all but majority, more oppose Clinton’s winning in general election than Democratic candidates. Most supporters say they don’t vote for Clinton, if she will be Democratic nominee.
Although, Hillary Clinton email controversy has not been washed out yet and a new investigation is underway by FBI, she potentially has more chances to win the nomination than Sanders. Even there, where Sanders won over 86% of the vote, several of the superdelegates still opted to thwart the will of their state and pledge for Clinton. So if the prognostications indicate Clinton’s nomination, Sanders’ supporters would rather go for Trump against Clinton.
Every American need a Champion and I want to be a that Champion.
