What are the expectations for entrepreneurship 2020?

If you think about setting up a business or are already on your way, but want to know what the prospects are so you can plan, just keep an eye on this article.

And I’m going to give you the answer right away: the scenario is quite optimistic considering the resumption of the economy.

That’s right!

The country must now return to the path of growth in a gradual and sustainable manner after a truly historic recession.

In this text you will understand more about the expectations for entrepreneurship 2020, to the point of feeling safe to start a business this year or even to continue conducting the current one.

So come on!

How to know if the expectations for entrepreneurship 2020 are positive?

Before talking about entrepreneurship expectations 2020, it is important to review the scenarios of recent years.

According to the Brazilian Economic Growth Report 2018–1023 of the BNDES, 2015 and 2016 were years of real recession in the country, down 3.5%.

In 2017, the context was interrupted when the GDP was increased by 1%, thus starting an interesting growth.

In 2018, this level was practically maintained at 1.1%.

In 2020, however, the growth forecast is 2.32% according to the SPE MacroFiscal Bulletin.

In addition to the bulletin, some data such as a decrease in the country’s risk, lower interest rates in history, increased credit, reduced inflation and business confidence show a very optimistic context for this year.

Not to mention the New Social Security (PEC 6/2019) and the Provisional Measure of Economic Freedom (Law 13,874 / 2019).

These strategies open doors for increased productivity and sustainable growth in Brazil, which should happen gradually and slowly in the coming years.

Therefore, despite the optimistic context, we cannot expect great leaps in the indicators.

It is also necessary to consider the international scenario, which here reflects its geopolitical and economic uncertainties.

What should happen to entrepreneurship 2020?

To understand what will happen with entrepreneurship 2020, it is important to consider statistical data.

According to the World Bank Group report, called Doing Business, which ranks countries according to their business regulations in 10 criteria, this year Brazil fell to 124 in the overall ranking among 190 countries.

In 2019 he was in position 109.

However, our rating increased from 58.6 to 59.1 thanks to the improvement in the criteria regarding the Property Registry with the start of online payments in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Another improvement is the ease of opening companies, which grew by one percentage point.

The Insolvency Resolution criterion of companies also advanced with 1.9 points.

Yes, the report shows that we are still facing a lot of bureaucracy, but that does not mean that the country has not advanced in entrepreneurship.

According to McKinsey’s Brazil Digital Report, 39% of Brazilians own their own business (almost half).

Other than that, there are already 12,000 startups in the country, responsible for ensuring the creation of 30,000 jobs and the generation of 1 billion dollars in investments in 2018.

To improve, 8 of them have already won the unicorn rank, which are the startups valued at more than 1 billion dollars.

Do you know what all this means?

That bureaucracy doesn’t matter that much in a country full of people who aspire to entrepreneurship, right?

At the end of the day, they will not be mere legal barriers that will make them give up putting their dreams into practice !!!

Well, the expectations for entrepreneurship 2020 are very optimistic.

This shows that you can already get your idea off the ground, be it a new business, product or solution.
