The iranian diplomat, during an exclusive interview to the New York Times, declared yesterday (01) at the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) that “unfortunatelly [Iran] doesn’t have the power to uninvite representations to the conference, so there’s nothing to do about US presence at the summit”. As stated earlier by official representatives of Iran, “every single country is tired of dealing with USA’s presence at the Indian Ocean Region”, the main subject of the debates during the conference.

Following the interview of New York Times with the US representative at the meeting, the iranian delegation made it clear that not only it disapproves US influence and presence at the region, but also it’s disruption and manipulation of the meeting. President Donald Trump has yet to comment on the backlash from this hostility between both countries as he recently decided to not be a party to the nuclear proliferation agreement with the persian nation.

The iranian representatives also agreed with the earlier statement from the delegation of The Philippines: “regional solutions for regional problems”. The country has been working on resolutions involving most of the regional representations, while the american diplomat insists on military exercises and third-party control of the trade routes.
