The RT Press has had exclusive access to the draft document. With less than one hour left to the deadline, the delegates will have to rush if they want the job done.

The first clause which calls to the attention is the proposal of demanding Israel to gradually lift the Gaza blockade, to be completed in 2025 with urgent easeanings to relief the life of the 2 million Palestinians living in the region. If approved, it would be the first time that the UNSC ordered Israel to lift a blockade in Palestine since the Yom Kippur War.

One other clause also proposes other countries to cease the repositioning of foreign representations into Jerusalem. Many other countries, such as Brazil, have expressed the will of transfer their embassy in Israel from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem, following the attitude of the president of the USA, Donald Trump.

The condemnation of the demolition of the village of Khan al Ahmar should be urgent, and the Council is moving it forward. If approved, this resolution would be a straight-forward, brave and even unexpected decision from the UNSC, following the right path to an understanding in the region.
