April 3rd-4th: VeloxCon in San Jose, CA

VeloxCon is a free community-hosted event to discuss the Velox open-source project. Sessions from Meta, IBM, Pinterest, Google, Microsoft and many more. If you’re interested in learning more about Presto-on-Velox (code-named Prestissimo), engineers will be sharing more at VeloxCon. Register today!

PrestoCon Day is our one-day virtual event for the Presto community. The CFP is now open — if you’re a Presto engineer or user and want to share what you’re doing with Presto, we’d ❤️ to hear from you. Registration is free, can’t wait to get our worldwide community together!

Presto 0.286 release ⭐

Key highlights from the latest release Presto 0.286 include:

  • Support for adaptive partial aggregation which disables partial aggregation in cases where it could be inefficient
  • Add additional linear regression functions like REGR_AVGX, REGR_AVGY, REGR_COUNT, REGR_R2, REGR_SXX, REGR_SXY, and REGR_SYY
  • Add UPDATE sql support in Presto
  • Lots of updates to Iceberg including:
  • Prestissimo support for Iceberg catalog
  • Fast equality delete as join support
  • Support for time travel
  • Support for reading v2 row level deletes in Iceberg connector
