The Syndrome of Being Crushed Under Excessive Knowledge

Forget the extra information, get to the core, and think simple. Listen to your heart and start walking on your path. The path will teach you the rest.

Information is pouring on us from everywhere

In a world where information is raining from everywhere, it has become more and more difficult to listen to our heart’s voice and to return to our essence.

A business we want to establish, a relationship we want to start, a divine subject that we turn to to find our inner peace, etc. We read books to learn about topics that are very important to us and perhaps will change our lives, we search for resources on the internet, and we look at any place that can be useful to us. We are actually doing the right thing. We want to learn from the experts on the subject.

Since we think that our own thoughts are inadequate, we conduct research to gain more in-depth information, gain different perspectives, and perhaps confirm our thoughts. We try to look under every stone we find, maybe there is something different from the other pieces of knowledge.

I believe that when starting a job, it is necessary to do research and to benefit from the experience of the experts in the subject.

But after a while, these experts and their thoughts take up so much space in our minds that we find it difficult to believe and focus on our own thoughts. If we leave aside what we learned from them and think as ourselves, we feel as if we are going to make a mistake. We come to doubt the veracity of our own ideas.

That’s the thing — the stage of getting information from the right sources — I think we’re exaggerating a bit. And now we are crushed under all this information. The more we research and read, the deeper we go. But after a while, we start to forget that we have to go up, that real life is there.

Based on this, I would like to share a syndrome that started in me recently. I named it: “The syndrome of being crushed under excessive knowledge”. The solution to this is “ start”.

The syndrome of being crushed under excessive knowledge

Based on this, I would like to share a syndrome that started in me recently. I named it: “The syndrome of being crushed under excessive knowledge”. The solution to this is “ start”.

If we have obtained enough information and understood the general rules about the basis of the way the work is done, I think that the research process should end after a while. Because no book, no theory, no university can replace the practical knowledge obtained in real life.

The valuable information we learn from what we read is very useful for minimizing the problems we may encounter. But when we feel it’s time to “start”, we need to take that step. They say swimming is best learned in the sea, not in the pool. Once we start, we’ll see a lot of different things. And sometimes, acting according to the signs we will encounter along the way will take us to different places according to the navigation we set at the beginning. We will encounter people and events that we did not even think of at first, and we will gain experiences that we never thought of. Seeing them on the road is probably the surprise part of the job. But we are too afraid. We think that we should plan everything very well at the beginning. Because we were taught that this is the right thing to do.

If we have obtained enough information and understood the general rules about the basis of the way the work is done, I think that the research process should end after a while. Because no book, no theory, no university can replace the practical knowledge obtained in real life.

Maybe we should do what’s been so trendy lately. Reverse engineering 😊 We have to start first and then continue learning on the way.

I would like to end this article with the words of one of the most valuable and universal personalities of the geography I live in.

You set out, the road appears to you.

— (Hz. Mevlana)

I wish everyone a pleasant journey in life.

P.S. I would love to know your perspective on life. I would like to state that I value your comments very much to benefit from the experiences of people outside of my own life. I believe that sometimes it is more memorable to learn from real people rather than from books.

Thank you.
