Best Female Rapper: Cardi B or Nicki Minaj ?

Cardi B scored her first #1 pop hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with the unstoppable anthem “Bodak Yellow” in 2017. She’s only the second solo female rapper to reach this high on the Hot 100. Nicki Minaj rose to fame in 2010 with her debut album “Pink Friday,” which topped the Billboard 200. It’s been a non-stop success for the rapper ever since. Nicki is regarded as the most successful female rapper and some would argue she’s the most influential too.

A couple of weeks ago both female rappers were caught on camera in a fight which had to be separated by Nicki’s security guards. It went viral all over the internet. Rapper Nicki Minaj was interviewed recently on her thoughts about the whole situation in which she responded directly to Cardi B saying “You came into my f — in culture” says 35-year-old Nicki. “ I never had to bang a DJ to play my songs. You call black women roaches. Real b****** never attack a woman. You’re angry and you’re sad. This is not funny. Get this woman some f — in help. This woman’s at the highest point in her career and she’s throwing shoes?” “ Nicki has been the all-time favorite female rapper of all-time,” says Eastside senior Claudia Ramos. “I grew up to her and I don’t see Cardi ever taking her reign”

Fan bases from both rappers have been arguing about who deserves the queen of rap title in which some say, Cardi because she’s the hottest in the streets and the reigning rap queen on the pop chart. As of the Barbz (Nicki’s fan base) say, Nicki, because she’s the best-selling female rapper of all time and the undisputed Queen of Rap. So who are you siding for, #TeamNicki or #TeamCardi?
