Black history month is a month of freedom, peace, and family. The reason for black history month is to honor.

Eastside student Ja´Lynn Simon “It’s important for black people to remember there history and celebrate there culture .” The reason that people need to celebrate is so they can remember everything they had to go through to be where there are now.

Eastside student Michael Lemus “It’s important for the people of that culture to celebrate who they are and be proud to be who they are.”

Black history month is a time for black people remember everything they went through and celebrate. the fact that they don’t have to go through that again.
