Boys Volleyball season is finally back! This year’s team features some new faces and some familiar ones, and they’re excited to see if this season can top the last one.

“It was an amazing experience,” junior Romas Dominguez says, speaking of last season. “I can’t wait to do it again.”

The players aren’t the only ones excited to be back. Coach Bosque and Coach Miller have been conditioning the boys since December. Romas tells us, “The coaches are great mentors and have such patience with us, especially on our bad days.”

These two coaches are hoping to place at the top of the league. Unfortunately, the season has gotten off to a rough start. The boy’s varsity team is currently 0–2. While the team looks good during practice, they haven’t been able to put it together during game time.

“I’ve been to a couple of practices and from what I’ve seen, they seem to be doing great,” says varsity volleyball player Akaccia Wagnor. She’s not concerned about the slow start to the season. “As long as they continue to practice and strengthen their skill set, they will be fine going against competitors like Quartz Hills and Palmdale.”

Eastside is looking to change things around with today’s game against Vasquez. You can cheer on the team beginning at 6:45 PM.
