During Club Rush Day last week, students in the quad could talk to members of Eastside’s various clubs. Like most clubs, Key Club was at Club Rush Day. Key Club is for students who want to help out the community and school.

Key Club is a student-led organization. Their goal is to encourage leadership through serving others. They encourage this leadership by volunteering inside or outside of school.

“Key Club is a great way to get involved not only in school but outside of school,” says Eastside junior Rebeca Rico.

Members have volunteered in homeless shelters and churches. They have also donated canned food during Thanksgiving and made dog toys for the dogs at the local shelter.

“I like how we help out the community,” says Eastside junior Nahomy Aguilar.

If you would like to join Key Club or find out about more information, you can talk to Ms. Coffey in Room 120.
