La Michoacana is a Mexican ice cream and snack shop with multiple locations here in the Antelope Valley. They sell corn, milkshakes, smoothies, and sandia loca, which translates to ‘Crazy Water’ in English. The store has a lot of yummy fruits and chamoy. They also sell corn off the cob. Yes, you read that correctly: corn off the cob. It comes in three sizes: small, medium, and large. And they don’t even charge to add extra cheese and spice.

With such a great selection, it’s no surprise that La Michoacana has become a popular place for Eastside students looking for a good cold smoothie or shake after school.

“It’s a very loved place,” says Eastside student Maria Gonzalez. “A lot of teenagers come here and just hang out on hot days.”

Jason Mall feels similarly. “I love this place,” he says. “I hope that it never goes out of business. They’re so sweet and understanding. I’ve been coming here ever since they built it, and I don’t think I’m ever going to stop.”

If you haven’t been to one, check it out. You won’t be disappointed! It’s the perfect spot to take your friends or even your family. You can even bring a date.
